Tapper Alerts

Know when your advertising breaks, before it costs you.

Alerts watches your Google, Meta and TikTok ad accounts, your tracking, Block, Lift, your connections and your billing. When something stops, drifts from its usual pattern or crosses a line you set, you hear about it once, with what happened and since when.

Four kinds of alert

From a stopped tag to a rule of your own.

Every alert says what happened, since when and where, in plain words. Each one is switched on by you.

Breakage

Something stopped

Tracking, connections, ad accounts and billing are watched for the moment they stop working.

  • Your tag went quiet
  • Paid clicks are not landing
  • Landing page down
  • Ad account disabled or at risk
  • Login expired
  • Your Tapper payment failed
Anomalies

Far from the usual

Spend, conversions and cost are compared with the same hour of the same weekday in past weeks, so a normal evening lull never alerts.

  • Spend jumped or fell
  • Conversions dropped
  • Cost per conversion jumped
  • Return on ad spend dropped
  • Invalid traffic surged
Your rules

Your own line

Pick a metric, set the level and how long it must hold, and say who hears about it. Start from a template or build your own.

  • Conversions stopped for 6 hours
  • Budget used up before 2 pm
  • Frequency above 4
  • Forms started but not sent
Lift findings

New fixes found

New high-value fixes from Lift arrive in a digest, ranked by what each one costs you, and the result of a fix you made.

  • New high-value fixes
  • The result of a fix
  • Conversion value looks broken
  • Pixel missing
What it watches

Everything that can quietly cost you money.

Alerts is one system across Tapper, not a feature of one product. An alert is available once the source it watches is connected.

Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads

Spend, conversions, cost per conversion, return on ad spend, click rate, budget used up early, disapproved ads, accounts at risk and billing problems.

Your tracking

Your tag going quiet, conversions stopping, paid clicks that never land, a landing page that is down or slow, forms started but not sent.

Block

Invalid traffic surging, a new bad source appearing, an exclusion list nearly full.

Lift

New high-value fixes, the result of a fix, conversion value that looks broken, a missing pixel.

Connections and billing

An account that disconnected, a login that expired or is about to, data that has gone stale, a failed Tapper payment.

Never noisy

An alert is worth reading, or it does not arrive.

Six rules sit between a signal and your phone, so what reaches you is a real problem, sent once.

One alert per problem

A problem opens one alert, not one per campaign or per hour. Related signals are grouped, and a root cause such as a disconnected account silences the alerts that follow from it.

Confidence tests

An anomaly fires only when the move is unlikely to be chance for that hour of the week. A metric too quiet to judge is left alone.

Cooldowns

An open alert does not ping again unless it gets worse, and a closed one waits before it can notify you again.

Digests

Only urgent breakage is sent on its own. Everything else is batched into a digest, sent only when there is something in it.

Quiet hours

Set the hours when messages are held, so an alert waits for you instead of waking you.

Closes itself

When the problem clears, the alert closes on its own. No second message arrives unless you ask for one.

Delivery

Told where you will actually see it.

Each person chooses which level of urgency goes to which channel. Nothing is emailed until the person turns email on.

Live

In app and the bell

A bell with an unread count and a notification centre, for every member of your workspace.

Live

Email

Urgent alerts the moment they open, and your digest. Each person turns email on for themselves.

Live

Microsoft Teams

Urgent alerts posted to a channel you choose, with a Workflows link you create in Teams. Alerts that open together arrive as one card.

Coming soon

WhatsApp

For urgent breakage only, so it stays worth opening.

Coming soon

SMS

The fallback for urgent breakage when WhatsApp is not an option.

Coming soon

Slack

Post to a channel your team already watches.

Set up

You choose what to turn on.

Alerts starts empty. Switch on the ready-made alerts you want, or build your own in four steps. Nothing is sent until you do.

Your own

Build an alert in four steps

  1. What to watch

Start from a template, or pick a source and then a metric from a searchable list.

  2. Where

Choose the level, such as account, campaign or ad, add a filter, and see how many match.

  3. When

Above or below a number, a change by a percentage, or unusual for this hour of the week. A preview shows how often it would have fired in the last 30 days, and warns you if it would be noisy.

  4. Who and how

Pick the people and the channels for each level of urgency, set quiet hours, and read the rule back in plain words before you save.

Questions

Frequently asked about Alerts

No. Alerts starts empty for every account. You switch on the ready-made alerts you want, and each person chooses where they are told. Nothing is sent until you do.

No. Alerts only tells you. It never changes anything in your ad accounts. Lift findings open in Lift, where you decide.

In app with the bell, email and Microsoft Teams. WhatsApp, SMS and Slack are coming soon and are marked that way wherever they appear.

Alerts is built to be quiet: one alert per problem, confidence tests on every anomaly, cooldowns, digests for everything that is not urgent breakage, and quiet hours. When you build your own rule, a preview shows how often it would have fired in the last 30 days before you save it.

An alert can be switched on once the source it watches is connected. A Google Ads alert needs a connected Google Ads account, and the tag alerts need the Tapper tag with Block on your site. The Rules page says what each alert still needs.

Every member of the workspace sees them in the app. Email and the other personal channels are each person’s own choice. A shared Teams channel is set up once by an owner or admin.
